Apply for a duplicate tax disc

Any vehicle owner in the United Kingdom is required to replace their tax disc if they have lost, destroyed, or damaged it. They can apply for a duplicate tax disc by bringing or sending a V20 “Application for duplicate tax disc” to their nearest Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) local office.

After applying for a duplicate tax disc, people will be able to drive their vehicle legally in the United Kingdom. What’s more, their DVLA records can be updated so that they will be able to get to know the latest tax information about their vehicle.

The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) is part of the UK government which is in charge of issues related to drivers and vehicle in Great Britain. It is a section of the Department for Transport and has many responsibilities such as driving licence issuing, vehicle excise duty collection, private number plates selling, and so on.
